♋ Shortcut Virus also known
as Houdini is a worm which have infected several
computers/devices around the world.
♋This virus makes shortcut of the files when you open up in the pen drive or from other place. The virus has tendency to make copies of itself while we try to delete it. ♋
♋ Actually the virus is attacking the registry of the windows. First when you open the 1KB file [virus file] from pen drive by mistake in place of opening the real file, the virus attacks the registry of the windows and make a self defence command of copy itself while we try to delete it then it disables the task manger and change the admin permission. then it hides the original file and makes a shortcut of 1KB of the original file. So don't even think that we can find the real file by unhide. This virus was created in Asian Country to bleach the important information from your computer. ♋
♋ So to remove the Shortcut Virus 3 process is to be taken 1st is to unhide the original file ,2nd is to delete the virus ,3rd is to check and repair registry of computer. ♋
{ here ">" is considered as next step and the command in the [] is having space consideration so copy paste command in [] by replacing the drive extension like E:,G:,D:, }
🌟1st Process 🌟
1.) Insert the infected pendrive/memory card, don’t open any file in the pendrive/memory card, just open the drive and check the extension of the drive. E.g-> E: , D: , H: , G:
2.) Open command prompt -> Run >cmd>enter
3.) In cmd type [ attrib -h- r- s /s /d D:\*.* ] > Enter
4.) Now open the pen drive the original file will be separated from the virus , copy paste the original file as per your need.
🌟2nd Process
2.) Write Format and drive name then enter
3.) Wait for drive to be formatted as it takes time and is known as HARD FORMAT
4.) After formatting press enter if it ask for build fat32 ,now your pen drive is free from virus.
🌟3rd Process
1.) Now we have to clean/repair the registry infected by the virus ,which in the end also enable admin control and task manager.
2.) Download Malwarebytes anti-malware {{Click here to Download the Software}}
3.) Open the Malwarebytes software and scan the computer full, it takes time.
4.) Remove the infected files and restart.
After restarting your computer, you will find your task manager is enabled and your Shortcut Virus has been removed.
